Research Areas: bioinformatics, human microbiome, environmental microbiome, antibiotic resistance, multi-omics
I obtained my PhD in The University of Hong Kong in 2021 under the supervision of Ir. Prof. Tong Zhang. Before that, I obtained my MPhil and Bachelor’s Degree in Shandong University. I have been an international visiting student in Scientific Research National Center (CNRS-ISTO), Orleans, France (Advisor: Prof. Fatima Laggoun) in 2015. To date, I have published over 31 international journal papers. I am the first author of 8 publications. Most of these papers (87%) are published in the top tier journals in the field of microbiome research and environmental sciences. My research interests encompass the intricate interactions between the microbiome, humans, and the environment. I am particularly focused on the evolution and dissemination of antibiotic resistance genes and pathogens. Additionally, I am deeply invested in exploring the role of the microbiome in human gastroenterology, understanding its impact on health and disease.
