Research Areas: Network Medicine; Systems Biology; Disease Networks; Drug Repositioning; Cardiovascular Disease; Clinical Data
Dr. Wang is a Lead Investigator in the Channing Division of Network Medicine at BWH and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at HMS. Her principal research effort is in systems biology and network medicine, with a focus on biological network modeling, therapeutic target discovery in disease networks, drug repositioning, and high-throughput data analysis. Dr. Wang received her PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Science. She then completed her postdoctoral research fellowship at Pennsylvania State University, where she received rigorous training in systems biology and complex network analysis. She currently focuses her research on development of network science approaches to improve precision medicine in cardiovascular disease. She received the Lerner Young Investigator Research Award for her work on network analysis of the genomic basis of the placebo effect and the BRI Microgrant Award for her work on drug effect prediction.
