I am a nutritional and molecular epidemiologist utilizing omics data to identify dietary biomarkers and understand molecular mechanisms contributing to cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes risk. I received my PhD in Nutritional Epidemiology and Data Science from Tufts University before joining the Channing Division of Network Medicine at BWH and HMS and the Department of Nutrition at HSPH as a postdoctoral fellow in 2019. Through the integration of omics data from large prospective cohort studies with complementary randomized controlled trials, my research aims to advance our understanding of precision nutrition. Much of my work focuses on beverage consumption and overall dietary patterns. I was recently awarded a K01 award from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) to examine proteomic and integrative omic profiles of sugar- and artificially sweetened beverage consumption and changes in type 2 diabetes risk factors.
