Research Areas: Human microbiome; Community ecology; Deep learning; Network medicine; Precision nutrition
Dr. Xu-Wen Wang is an Instructor at the Channing Division of Network Medicine. His current research lies in the interaction of network science, system biology, deep learning, and community ecology, with a particular focus on developing network and deep learning methods to understand and predict complex disease outcomes, facilitating translation to the clinic by developing methods to speed up biomarker and therapeutic target discovery, precision nutrition for microbiome regulations and using network-based methods and population dynamics models to understand complex microbial ecosystems such as host-associated microbiomes.
